Mr. Goodisman is currently Partner of Energy Advisors Group (EAG), a leading advisory firm offering acquisition & divestiture services to the oil & gas industry. He is an energy investment banker and global business developer. And he has also proven success in leading/building organizations and increasing profitability and utilize broad U.S. & international experience, primarily upstream oil & gas, to originate and execute diverse wide-ranging assignments, including mergers, acquisitions & divestitures (MA&D). He has earned reputation as an A&D specialist, with a significant track record in executing cross-border transactions. Goodisman is also Board Member & Advisor providing guidance to C-Suite.
He was most recently a Managing Director for Moelis & Company, a leading global independent investment bank that provides innovative strategic advice and solutions to a diverse client base, including corporations, governments and financial sponsors. He has over 30 years of investment banking and technical experience in the Oil & Gas Exploration & Production (E&P) sector.
Before Moelis & Company, he was a Managing Director at Scotiabank where he served in a variety of positions including Co-Head U.S. of Scotia Waterous - the firm's oil and gas investment banking division. He had managed transactions in the majority of the North American basins as well as many international areas, and had developed a specialization in applying a deep understanding of the technical aspects of oil and gas assets to the contemplated transaction.
Prior to joining Scotia Waterous, Mr. Goodisman was Senior Vice President with Ziff Energy Group, an energy consulting company in Houston Texas, for 6 years, and before spent 9 years with Phillips Petroleum in a variety of locations, where he acquired technical expertise primarily in field exploitation, operations and acquisitions & divestitures.
In addition to serving on the Advisory Board of Globalturk Capital, Mr. Goodisman serves as Chairman of the Board of the Palmer Drug Abuse Program (PDAP), sits on the Advisory Board of the Bilateral US-Arab Chamber of Commerce, and serves as a Director of the World Affairs Council of Houston. He also serves as a Director of Alberta Oilsands, a publicly listed Canadian company. He also serves on the Capital Markets Committee of the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA), and has previously served in a variety of positions with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) including: Chairman, Canadian Section; Chairman, International Membership Committee; and Director, Gulf Coast (Houston) Section. He also has served as an SPE distinguished lecturer.
Mr. Goodisman holds a Master's of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas, and an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Salford, UK. Additionally, he is a registered representative in the U.S. holding Series 24, 7 and 63 FINRA licenses.
