Leon A. Coskun, Senior Advisor

Leon Coskun founded Denge in 1977, one of the pioneering financial accounting firms in Turkey as an entrepreneur. Over the years he has constituted numerous services and departments in the firm and extended the range of audit and review services to serve clients. In 1984, the Review Department that he set-up, he initiated an effective format to facilitate and systemize the work processes. In 1986, he expanded the range of services and gave birth to Dendata (an affiliate firm responsible for computerization of accounting procedures, supplying necessary software and building MIS.). In 1989, he formed and chaired the consultancy department, where he eestablished computerized cost accounting systems for clients operating in various sectors especially in plastics, textile and automotive industries. He managed to open Denge`s offices in İzmir, Ankara, Antalya and Bursa and became the first accounting firm operating in more than one city during the nineties.

Mr. Coskun has further gained an audit business partner position in PKF (an international accounting firm ranking top 10 and #1 in the tourism sector) and joined MAZARS as business partner in 1999. After 35 years of his tenure in Denge, the firm currently serves more than 600 clients operating in 55 different sectors and consists over 250-person workforce.

In addition to serving in the Advisory Board of Globalturk Capital, Mr. Coskun serves as a Vice Chairman and/or Board Member in numerous organizations such as French Chamber of Commerce, Expert Accountants’ Association of Turkey, Independent Auditors Association, and Chamber of İstanbul Sworn Public Accountants, TURMOB Delegate, and International Federation of Accountants.

He wrote guide books and many professional articles in newspapers and magazines, participated in various worldwide seminars as a lecturer and panelist, attended symposiums in Canada, US., Australia and represented Turkish Accounting Associations in international platforms

Leon Coskun has a BS degree in Economics from Marmara University, Istanbul, Turkey and a secondary ad high school diploma from Saint Michel and Saint Benoit schools in İstanbul, Turkey respectively. He is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
